After purchase, we send your onboarding link. You answer a short setup form (service area, rules, where leads should go). We configure and test everything.Note: Business texting can require carrier verification. If that takes a few days, you still go live right away with Voicemail Desk + lead delivery, and texting turns on as soon as carriers clear it.

- How does FieldDeskOps work?
When you miss a call, we automatically text the caller to get the important details (name, issue, address/ZIP, best callback time).
We also transcribe any voicemail they leave and send you a clean lead summary by text message and/or email so you can call back fast.- Do I need carrier approval to start?
Voicemail transcription and delivery work immediately — no waiting.
Text messaging usually requires carrier verification (A2P 10DLC registration) which can take 1–7 business days depending on your phone number.
We handle the registration process for you during setup.- How long does setup take?
Most customers are live within 3–7 business days after we receive all your onboarding info (business details, service area, routing preferences).
Delays usually happen when we’re waiting on your input or carrier approval.- What is Safety Mode?
If someone texts about a serious hazard (gas smell, smoke, sparks, fire, CO alarm), we:
- Send them a safety-first message telling them to call 911 or the utility emergency line
- Pause normal questions
- Mark the lead as PRIORITY URGENT for youWe cannot detect every hazard — always treat emergencies as real.- What happens if a text message doesn’t get delivered?
Like any texting tool, delivery isn't 100% guaranteed due to carrier filters, but we maintain high rates (95%+) through monitoring and best practices. If a text fails, voicemail transcription still captures the lead fully.- Can I change my routing rules later?
Yes.
Lite plan: one primary destination
Plus plan: multiple destinations + advanced routing (ZIP, service type, urgency)
You can request one small tune-up per month on Plus (wording, routing logic, etc.). Bigger changes may require an upgrade.- Do you book appointments for me?
No — not at launch.
We collect the details and send you the lead. You or your team handle scheduling.
(We can add booking later if you request it and we agree in writing.)- What if the customer gives wrong information?
You’re still responsible for verifying job details in person.
We only collect what they text us — we don’t guarantee accuracy.- How are phone/SMS charges handled?
All phone and SMS usage is billed at cost monthly.
We pass through exactly what carriers charge us — no markup.- Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — month-to-month plans.
Cancel by emailing [email protected] at least 3 business days before your next billing date to avoid the next charge.
No refunds for partial months or setup fees.- Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
No long-term contracts.
